Terms of Service & Platform User Agreement

Welcome to WORQ.ng. These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether as a Job Seeker, Employer, Artisan Service Provider, Customer, or General Visitor) and WORQ GLOBAL LTD ("WORQ", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the WORQ platform, website, mobile interfaces, and digital APIs.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By registering an account, accessing, or utilizing any services provided by WORQ.ng, you confirm that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age, possess the full legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and agree to abide unconditionally by these Terms and our incorporated policies.

2. Platform Ecosystem & Operational Scope

WORQ operates as a unified technological intermediary providing:

  • Recruitment & Jobs Marketplace: Facilitating candidate job discovery, verified employer vacancies, applicant tracking, and interview scheduling.
  • Artisan & On-Demand Services Marketplace: Facilitating the booking of vetted technicians, domestic/commercial trades, and escrow-secured service execution.
  • Verified Talent Directory: Enabling direct recruiter discovery of validated professionals and career portfolios.

3. Tiered KYC & Identity Authentication

In accordance with Nigerian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and platform safety standards, users must complete mandatory identity verification. WORQ reserves the right to validate National Identity Numbers (NIN), Bank Verification Numbers (BVN), and Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) incorporation credentials against authorized national identity registries.

4. Escrow Protection & Financial Settlement

All financial transactions for on-demand services are secured via the WORQ Escrow Engine. Client payments are deposited into an encrypted escrow vault upon checkout and are disbursed to Service Providers strictly upon two-factor confirmation (Customer One-Time Password / Completion Verification). Off-platform cash settlements are strictly prohibited and forfeit all escrow insurance.

5. Limitation of Liability & Warranties

WORQ provides its platform on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we perform rigorous identity screening, WORQ does not act as an employer of independent artisans or freelance talent. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, WORQ's total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by you in the preceding three (3) months.
