Escrow Protection, Cancellations & Refund Policy

WORQ operates a proprietary Escrow Guarantee framework to eliminate counterparty risk and protect financial transactions for all customers and artisans across Nigeria.
1. How Escrow Protection Works
When a customer books an artisan service, payment is securely deducted via Paystack and held in the encrypted WORQ Escrow Ledger. Funds are locked and cannot be accessed by the Provider until the service is delivered and verified by the customer.
2. Cancellation Rules & Timeframes
- Client Cancellation > 24 Hours Before Appointment: 100% full refund credited back to client's original payment method or instant wallet balance.
- Client Cancellation < 2 Hours / Dispatch En-Route: 90% refund (10% standard mobilization allowance disbursed to the provider for logistics).
- Provider Cancellation / No-Show: 100% immediate full refund to client plus penalty strike applied to provider's platform ranking.
3. Milestone & Custom Quote Escrow
For large commercial installations (e.g. 10kVA solar projects, commercial plumbing), funds can be disbursed in structured milestones (e.g. 40% Material Procurement, 40% Installation, 20% Final Load Testing) with dual OTP authorization per stage.
